Nice to see that Ze Frank's video /stylework is having an influence on the educational community. Fun/provocative project, isn't it?!

Clearly many of Ze Frank's videos would not pass the 'filter' test to be shown in school (language issues), but the editing/storyboarding ideas in this vid (as well as the humorous/ironic style this teacher uses to make his points) are clear off-shoots of Ze Frank's ongoing mastery of the medium. And made all the more palatable because of that.

BTW, the full web site that the teacher crafted to act as 1) a portfolio and 2) an advocacy launch is well worth the time to explore: www.wonderingmind42.com -- check it out. Not only can you get all the key videos (far more than the one that is shown here) that take on every conceivable counter point (this is where things really get interesting!) he can imagine, but you can also read the full scripts.

Needless to say, this teacher -- WonderingMind42 (a currently "38 year old teacher in the process of burning out") -- has set a high water mark for all the rest of us.

Glad you're passing it onto your readers/colleagues, Will. Look forward to seeing you in Philly this coming weekend.

Cheers, Christian

Great find. This is an approach I have never seen. Maybe it can get some more people on board.

What worries me...
In my short 29 years on Earth, it seems like our nation is moving in the wrong direction. In the U.S.- people don't change policy, $ does. This is the first trend that needs to change. Until delegates, representatives and presidents get elected by the people instead of by corporations, we will see slow change.

Thanks for the post, and I will be passing it on :)

Great discovery! I'll pass it on.

I often find it unfortunate that we live in a world that doesn't act on logic.

Three things to do...

1. Read World War Z. Replace zombies with an environment gone bad and how to prepare should things go south.

2. Go Luddite. Turn of the computer, the tech, the gadgets, etc. Or don't buy them.

3. Go to FreeCarbonOffsets.com and get your green absolution. I am set for life with carbon offsets.
