How much for the Cub's stadium? I really do hope they can get past the curse so to speak. It would make for some exciting times in October. It would also help the poor fan who made the mistake of catching that ball or interfering with the play...

Aw man, I didn't even realize the White reference. When "it" freezes over, I might consider stepping over to the dark side :-)

Until then, I'll stay in my personal misery: a Cub fan's world :-)

Andrew - No offense taken.
BTW, I have been writing so many blog posts and comments about serions education-related topics lately, that it felt good to just "goof off" a little.
(Sorry, Will!)

By the way, I forgot to write LOL after my line about Dave Sherman. I'm sure he's a really nice guy. He just needs to move up (north) a little.

Who let Dave Sherman on here??

Will, I didn't know that you were one of us!!

I often say that my high school had very little technology. I guess that isn't the truth. I remember one October Day in 1984, as a freshman, wondering why I had to be in school when so many older students were at Wrigley Field vending.

This could be the year!!

The last comment by Ryan mentioned the word WHITE a whole bunch of times. Maybe this guy is a closet White Sox fan! I can only hope so, because the rest of Chicago is turning WHITE, not because of the snow, but because the the WHITE SOX.
GO SOX!!

You really must be a glass is half full kind of guy! Like a true Cub fan, that is what we must be as we grasp for anything as a possible "sign" for a better year.

Heck, that is what I'm doing as I stare at this winter blast pouring snow down upon Chicagoland giving us one last blanket of WHITE before spring and I ponder what is this saying about the Cubs? Is this winter blast saying we can forget about the rough start; we will start spring over in a couple days? Is that blanket of WHITE symbolic for the purity that is Wrigley and there is divine grace?

Maybe I'm just grabbing for something, eh? Nah, it is a sign! The Cubs are going to wave the WHITE flag a lot this year throughout the summer even though it is rare to see such WHITE at Wrigley during the summer! GO CUBS!

"Hey…if the Red Sox can do it….why not the Cubbies?"

Well, I don't want to be derogatory, but I'd say there are important differences between the Red Sox and the Cubs. The Red Sox, for many years, have spent the money and gathered together great players and great coaching staffs that could win it all - it was just that darn curse that held them back. Every time they got close, it was a strange bad luck play that seemed to ruin it for them.

I don't think the Cubbies have ever really had the organizational commitment to winning that the Red Sox have had over the years...

I do realize I am probably going to flamed for this - *sigh*

Also, I wonder if Wrigley Field is listed in Google's real estate searches! http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=homes+for+sale&btnG=Search

We're hoping its the Cubs year too. My husband has season tickets and is brainwashing, I mean teaching, our children to be Cubs fans, too.

Looking forward to attending your workshop here in Chicago at F. Parker School in May!
