Testing the Publish to Blog Feature at Thinkfree.com
I’ve been using thinkfree.com to create and host some Office type documents, and now they are offering the ability to post files directly to the blog. This is a test of the service. The document included here is the White Paper we created for Dell earlier this year on the Tablet PC pilot we held at my (old) school. If this post disappears suddenly, it’s because I didn’t like the result. (It even has a Creative Commons publishing license to boot…)

Now that is pretty cool, I think! I’ll have to try that with a PowerPoint presentation at some point. You can set the size of the viewing box as well, but since I didn’t really know what this was going to do, I didn’t mess with it. So imagine this in the hands of a student…being able to embed files right into the blog post…hmmm…
How funny that you would pick HCHS for this work with Tablets. I was one of the original Tablet Team at Microsoft and HCHS was also my high school
This is one of the many reasons I read this blog. I’m wondering, does Thinkfree actually place the doc into a blog post? I agree with comment #1. Lots of possibilities. I immediately see a student blog with imbedded essays. Students could actually introduce/reflect on their essays that they then embed into a post. This could be the ultimate student portfolio.
Thx Will-
