Dear Mr. Richardson,
It was a pleasure meeting you at this year's NYCDoE Region 4 Retreat. I've decided I want to be "clickable", so I've just started to blog. A new door has opened.

I, too, was lucky enough to see Marco Torres's presentation and see his vision of education. I've come away with serious questions - How do I recognize and expand my "now" network? Am I aware of and using all means of communication to reach learners of any age? Or the really big one - Does MY work with students and teachers have "wings"? To question is to think, to think is to reflect, to reflect is to act. Very powerful stuff. My thanks. Fran - Life-Long Learner (L3)

Hi Will -

I had the honor of seeing Marco at the Alan November (Building Online Learning Communities) last summer. I then returned to school and delivered a summer professional development class and opened with the podcast from the conference from the conference. http://nlcommunities.com/communities/blc06/feeds/281/402.aspx

My students loved Marco presentation and it was great being able to attend a conference and bring something back to share! Alan did a great job making this available. I just had a discussion wiht my superintendent today about all the great keynotes! I hope to get him to watch them.

On my white board I have a box with his slide
Quit
Complain
Innovate

Several teachers and administrators have asked me about the box and I use it as an opportunity to talk about Marco. I also enjoyed his video "Digital Students @ Analog Schools" a group of his students put together a video after graduation to express their frustration with college teaching. Watch and share the video http://homepage.mac.com/dvchelo/page1/page3/files/page3-1003-pop.html Notice how all the work was done remotely and watch the credits (using IM).

Marco gets it and I am so happy he shares!
