Believe it or not, I’ve thrown together another underproduced, crackly, levels all over the place podcast for the listening pleasure of anyone out there who has less of a life than I. In this episode, I ask five teachers to give their views on the Web as a teaching tool, and the responses are, shall we say, less than earth shattering but somewhat interesting nonetheless. Suffice to say, these guys aren’t thinking Web first when it comes to publishing. For me, it’s another experiment in form…the interviewcast. Here’s the direct link if you’ve got about 19:21 to spare. Might be interesting to have the teachers you interviewed, listen to their answers and then comment further.

Robert–I recorded their responses by passing around my iPod, and then I brought the file into Audacity where I chopped it up into the snippets that I wanted to capture. Then I recorded my parts directly into Audacity, mixed the whole thing together, and expored it as an mp3. Took about 90 minutes of production time, and the software is really easy. I uploaded the file to one of my servers here (shhhh!) and then created the blog post with the enclosure tag. Way too simple once you’ve done it once or twice.
Dave–Thanks! I thought about letting them listen to it, but I wonder if they would react negatively to my lead ins. Maybe I’ll play “Pass the Pod” at the end of class today to see what interesting ideas they might have now that I’ve rssflickrfurlvangelized them. Hmmm…
