I work virtually for SMU in Dallas and I've used skype successfully since August of this year to communicate with coworkers in Dallas. I do notice, however, extreme performance degradation when trying to use skype and load and navigate a large Access database even though I have a pretty good laptop (2.39 GHz and 480 MB of RAM). Overall, technology like this just amazes me (who would have thought...).
