<description>&lt;a&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Uh-oh....this sounds like me right now...my to-do list keeps getting longer and I can't get anything done because I'm too busy adding items to my list ;)

Above, you said, "is there a pattern here," and I just want to point out that the pattern I noticed was that of templates (although I suspect the pattern you referred to was just the numerous forms of weblogs)...it is time consuming to create models for others to use. Have we gotten to the point yet of knowing whether or not the tremendous time investment now might save time later? I thought about that ten years ago but keep forgetting to go back and try to answer the question! (but I think the answer for me, now, is: who cares? this is too much fun)

Cable modem with a new computer at home so I'm no longer strolling my way around...it's fast so I don't have to haul into the office anytime I want to do something slightly large...I'm a speed demon here at home!
